Interpret results and resource projections
Keep samples, exact references and larger-target estimates separate.
Understand
Shot counts are observed outcomes. Probabilities describe the prepared state. An exact reference is a separate classical check for the small instance; it is not another quantum sample.
A missing feasible sample does not prove that the problem is infeasible. In the TSP example with no feasible sample, the exact reference still provides a valid tour. An unavailable objective gap should remain unavailable.
The Simulator executes at most eight qubits. Larger-target projection estimates resources for a user-specified scale; it does not simulate or solve that target and does not demonstrate a speedup.
QAOA results depend on the circuit parameters and finite sampling. A feasible sampled solution is not automatically optimal. A compiled model larger than eight variables is a download, not an executed solution.
Visualize
Choose the recorded sampled result or the exact reference. Their labels stay distinct, including when a sampled answer is absent.

Experiment
Select the TSP example with no feasible sample. Compare “Sampled result” with “Exact reference”, then inspect the recorded probabilities and shot counts. Nothing is re-executed when switching views.
Apply
Run a small instance explicitly in the Modeler and compare the sampled result with its reference. Treat a large-target projection as an estimate only.
Check your understanding
No feasible sample was observed, but the exact reference is feasible. What follows?
